Hobolite Iris LED launched

Hobolite’s new continuous LED, the Iris, is a small and portable light unit made for photographers and content creators, featuring optical modifiers and optional coloured gel filters. The Iris’ good looks are inspired by vintage cameras, with a weather- resistant IP54-rated aluminium body and vegan leatherette detailing – making it good for both indoor and outdoor use. The bicolour portable light boasts a colour range from 2700K to 6500K, with high CRI and TLCI ratings of 96+ promising true-to-life colour rendering. Noteworthy features of the Iris are its optical modifiers and aperture ring accessory used with a magnetic attachment system. These tools allow photographers to adjust the light from a focused beam to a wide glow. The adjustable lens (included as standard) offers a range from 20-45° and a sixfold brightness boost for increased illumination. The Iris is available in two kits: the Modifier kit (£99.60) and the Creator kit (£199.20), which includes an aperture ring, gel filters and other extras. This new mid range model will sit between the EL-100 and the EL-5 in the line-up, aimed at enthusiasts, but boasts some attractive features. A standout feature of the Speedlite EL-10 is its 1.5-second recharge time, among the fastest in its category. It uses Canon’s multi-function shoe interface, which is designed to enhance communication between the camera and flash. This means you can conveniently adjust settings using the camera menu system rather than the flash menu. However, it’s worth noting the 21-pin interface only works with newer Canon cameras, so do your research. The Speedlite EL-10 offers linked custom shooting modes, which can be particularly
