A riotous trailer soon followed. Within days, the film was a red-hot topic – skyrocketing to fourth on the IMDb trending list. “I woke up to a slew of text messages. So many huge publications had picked it up. It was totally surreal – I didn’t know how to respond at first,” Frake- Waterfield remembers. “I’m just glad that the majority embraced the fun side. I hope this opens up the floodgates. I want to see more freaky reimaginings like this. “It’s a serious horror, but I’ve also tried to lean into aspects that distinguish these characters, developing their traits and attributes in entertaining ways.
