it uses the physically larger LED of the 1200d. Used without the reflector, the very edge of the light shows a tiny bit of colour fringing. But put the reflector on and it disappears totally, proving that this is an essential part of the kit for total accuracy. Aputure sells three other reflectors with different beam angles, as well as popular fresnel attachments. With these, there’s some light drop-off of about a stop, because these pieces aren’t designed for the larger LED panel of the 600c Pro. It’s believed Aputure is working on specific accessories for the 600c Pro and 1200D. In any case, with lanterns and softboxes, the 600c works perfectly and produces soft, consistent light.
