T he Pro Moviemaker Gear of the Year Awards are bigger and better than ever, with more filmmakers casting votes for their choice of cameras, lenses, tripods, gimbals, lights and more. As one of the only accolades for moviemaking equipment and services decided by real professionals, these award-winning essentials are tried and tested. They exist to help you buy with complete confidence.
The victors are voted for by thousands of filmmakers: the biggest judging panel around, in what we think of as the Oscars of equipment. Readers of Pro Moviemaker and users of our website have cast their votes, so now it’s time to reveal the winners. Just to add to the excitement, we will also unveil the recipients of six editor’s choice awards, for products we feel are deserving of special recognition.
