opening of Wintringham Primary Academy, the first new school to be built at Wintringham. The academy is run by the Diamond Learning Trust. It has been designed based on forest school principles, fostering outdoor education and learning methods. At its centre stands a glass-enclosed woodland grove for students to play and learn in, with classrooms also benefitting from dual-aspect views on to green space. With biodiversity and environmental sustainability at its heart, Urban&Civic has thoughtfully designed Wintringham so it offers a pedestrian and cycle- friendly environment, promoting sustainability and wellbeing. Pocket parks will be placed at the centre of each residential area, creating landscaped green spaces between the new homes. A central linear park is set to run north-to-south throughout the whole development, bringing together other green spaces, and the development will provide a choice of meandering cycle paths and walkways.
